Does raising the hands when rising from the sitting in the two missed rak'ahs apply if one catches up with the imam for one rak'ah and then rises from the final tashahhud?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Does the ruling on raising the hands when rising from the sitting in the two missed rak'ahs apply if one catches up with the imam for only one rak'ah and then rises from the final tashahhud with the imam? In other words, does it apply to the act of rising, or is it specific to the two rak'ahs?

The Shaykh : I mean, if the one who joins the prayer late catches up with the imam for one rak'ah or three out of four, does he raise his hands when he rises after the imam's taslim? This is a matter of scholarly consideration. It could be said that he raises his hands because he is rising from a tashahhud, just as he does when rising from the first tashahhud. It could also be said that there is no analogical reasoning (qiyas) in acts of worship, and that the default is not to raise the hands. Allah knows best. However, it seems closer to me, and Allah knows best, that he raises his hands because he is rising from a tashahhud.
