Explanation of the Book of the Adhan-10b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Yahya ibn Bukayr narrated to us, saying: Layth ibn Sa'd narrated to us from 'Aqil from Ibn Shihab, who said: Anas said: While the Muslims were in the Fajr prayer, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) suddenly appeared. He lifted the curtain of A'ishah's chamber and looked at them while they were in rows, and he smiled with a laugh. Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) turned back on his heels to complete the row for him, and the Muslims thought he intended to go out, so they were about to be distracted in their prayer. He gestured to them to complete their prayer, then he lowered the curtain, and he passed away at the end of that day.

The Shaykh : While the Muslims were in the Fajr prayer, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) suddenly appeared. He lifted the curtain of A'ishah's chamber and looked at them while they were in rows, and he smiled with joy and happiness at the state of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) in performing this prayer, the Fajr prayer, and in being in rows as their Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had commanded them. Abu Bakr turned back on his heels, retreating to complete the row for him, thinking that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would go out, but he did not go out, peace and blessings be upon him. He lowered the curtain, and the Muslims were about to be distracted in their prayer, meaning they were about to exit the prayer out of joy for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he passed away, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, at the end of that day. So the last thing his Companions saw was him in the best of physical acts of worship, in the Fajr prayer, and in the manner that is required and desired. For this reason, he was pleased with it. Therefore, when we arrange the rows required of us, that is a blessing from Allah upon us, for this action is what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was pleased with. Yes.
