Explanation of the Book of Friday and the Two Festivals-01b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim, from 'Abd al-Rahman, who is ibn Hurmuz, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite the following in the Fajr prayer of Friday, "Alif, Lam, Mim, Tanzil" (Suratas- Sajda #32) and "Hal-ata-ala-l-Insani" كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقرأ في الجمعة في صلاة الفجر: الم تنزيل السجدة، وهل أتى على الإنسان
Sahih al-Bukhari 891
.

The Shaykh : This means he recited "Alif Lam Mim. This is the revelation of the Quran" in the first rak'ah, and "Has there not come upon man a period of time..." in the second, and this is part of the Sunnah.
Some scholars have misunderstood that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite "Alif Lam Mim. This is the revelation of the Quran" because of the prostration contained in it, so he would recite a surah containing a prostration to make up for it. This is an error. Rather, he used to recite this surah because of the great meanings contained in it, such as the beginning of creation and its end, the reward and the retribution, and other matters that the contemplator investigates. Likewise, he recited "Has there not come upon man a period of time..." because it mentions the disbelievers and their punishment, and the believers and their reward.
But should it be recited in full or divided? In full. One who divides "Alif Lam Mim. This is the revelation of the Quran" between the two rak'ahs, or recites part of it and recites part of "Has there not come upon man a period of time..." in the second rak'ah, makes a great error. This is an error that contradicts the Sunnah. Either you have the strength, determination, and patience to endure the tongues of people and recite both surahs in full, or you recite other surahs.
