Explanation of the Book of Friday Prayer and the Two Festivals-02b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, Shu'ayb informed us, from al-Zuhri, who said: Abu Salama ibn 'Abd al-Rahman informed me that Abu Hurayrah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
If the prayer is started do not run for it but just walk for it calmly and pray whatever you get, and complete whatever is missed. إذا أقيمت الصلاة فلا تأتوها تسعون وأتوها تمشون عليكم السكينة فما أدركتم فصلوا وما فاتكم فأتموا
Sahih al-Bukhari 908
.
Amr ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Abu Qutaybah narrated to me, 'Ali ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir from 'Abdullah ibn Abi Qatadah, and I do not know it except from his father, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:
Do not stand up (for prayer) unless you see me, and observe calmness and solemnity لا تقوموا حتى تروني، وعليكم السكينة
Sahih al-Bukhari 909
.

The Shaykh : The point of this is his saying:
Be upon you composure. عليكم السكينة
because if the Muslims are commanded to come with composure after the iqamah for prayer, then likewise, if they come to the Friday prayer after the adhan, it is even more so.
As for his saying:
do not stand up until you see me لا تقوموا حتى تروني
Sunan an-Nasa'i 790Sahih (Darussalam)
, it is because they used to stand up when the iqamah was near, so the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade them from standing up until they saw him. This is because the imam may sometimes be delayed due to a matter; perhaps he would leave the mosque after entering it for a matter, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did when he advanced and stood in his place, then he remembered that he had not performed ghusl, so he went and performed ghusl, then returned. Yes.
