Explanation of the Book of Friday Prayer and the Two Festivals-02b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abdan narrated to us, Abdullah informed us, Ibn Abi Dhi'b informed us from Sa'id al-Maqburi from his father from Ibn Wadi'ah, who narrated to us from Salman al-Farisi, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Anyone who takes a bath on Friday and cleans himself as much as he can and puts oil (on his hair) or scents himself; and then proceeds for the prayer and does not force his way between two persons (assembled in the mosque for the Friday prayer), and prays as much as is written for him and remains quiet when the Imam delivers the Khutba, all his sins in between the present and the last Friday will be forgiven.
Sahih al-Bukhari 910
.

The Shaykh : The point of interest is his statement:
does not force his way between two persons لم يفرق بين اثنين
Sahih al-Bukhari 910
This is clear in that the two were sitting close together, because if there had been a gap between them, the separation between them would have already occurred before this man arrived. Accordingly, a person should not make things difficult for people by bothering them to the extent of entering between two people who have no gap between them.
However, if there is a gap, he has the right to it, because those who left this gap are the ones responsible. For this reason, the jurists (may Allah have mercy on them) said: One does not step over the necks of people on Friday unless he is the imam or is going to a gap they left, because if they left the gap, they have waived their own right, and it is a kindness for him to proceed to this gap to sit in it.
It has been mentioned previously in the rest of the discussion that a person should take a bath on Friday; indeed, it is obligatory for him to take a bath on Friday, apply oil, use perfume, and wear his best clothes.
