Tafsir of Surat al-Kafirun.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It is clear, my brothers. If we return to the root of the issue, what do we want to talk about? The brother
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Surah, well done. These two surahs encompass the categories of tawhid (the oneness of Allah), so let us look. Allah the Exalted said to His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
(1) Say, "O disbelievers, (2) I do not worship what you worship. قل يا أيها الكافرون لا أعبد ما تعبدون
[Al-Kafirun 109:1-2]
And the command is for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him); the command is for him and for whom? And for the ummah (the Muslim community)
O you disbelievers
Declare it, declare it
(1) Say, "O disbelievers, (2) I do not worship what you worship. يا أيها الكافرون لا أعبد ما تعبدون
[Al-Kafirun 109:1-2]
What do they worship? Idols. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) disavowed them. Allah commanded him; Allah commanded His Prophet to disavow that
I do not worship what you worship.
[Al-Kafirun 109:2]
،
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.
[Al-Kafirun 109:3]
It also means that you are disavowing what I worship. So if someone says: Do not these people worship Allah and worship other than Allah? How does he say
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.
[Al-Kafirun 109:3]
Did not Ibrahim say to his people, to his father and his people
Indeed, I am disassociated from that which you worship
[Az-Zukhruf 43:26]
What?
Except for He who created me
[Az-Zukhruf 43:27]
So the disbelievers worship Allah and worship other than Him, so what is the answer? And here he says
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.
[Al-Kafirun 109:3]
And the word of Allah is truth. How do we reconcile this with the fact that they worship Allah? Yes, one, two. Pay attention, you will see a discussion in it. Are you ready? Come on.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Good, good, and the other is better so that our time does not run out. I say: These mushrikin (one who associates partners with Allah) who worship Allah and worship other than Him—do you not know that their worship of Allah is of no benefit, even if they worship Allah, it does not benefit them? It came in the authentic hadith qudsi that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated from his Lord, that Allah said: Pay attention, stand up a little, pay attention. It came in the hadith qudsi that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated from his Lord, that He said:
I am the One, One Who does not stand in need of a partner
Sahih Muslim 2985
Get it right.
I am the One, One Who does not stand in need of a partner. If anyone does anything in which he associates anyone else with Me, I shall abandon him with one whom he associates with Allah.
Sahih Muslim 2985
Did you hear the hadith? Rest. Good, listen, my brother. If the one who worships Allah and worships other than Him, his worship does not benefit him, he is like the one who does not worship Allah. And for this reason it says:
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.
[Al-Kafirun 109:3]
Because if they had worshipped Allah with true worship, they would not have associated partners with Him.
