The story of Sulayman (peace be upon him) when he went out to seek rain and found an ant seeking rain.
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It is narrated regarding Sulayman ibn Dawud, the king and prophet to whom Allah granted a kingdom that should not befit anyone after him, that he went out one day seeking rain, asking Allah for rain. He found an ant lying on its back. Do you know what an ant lying on its back is? It was raising its legs to the sky, saying: "O Allah, we are a creation of Your creation, so do not withhold Your provision from us". It was an ant, but the ant does not live except on crops, grasses, and grains that come out of that. So it says: "O Allah, we are a creation of Your creation, so do not withhold Your provision from us". How did Sulayman know that it said this? Yes, because Allah taught him the language of birds, the language of everything. The scholars said "the language of birds" because birds are the most obscure in terms of knowing their languages, but he understood. Did you understand, people? So Sulayman, having heard the ant's words, said: "Return, for you have been watered by the supplication of others". So Allah sent down the rain. And if this is authentic, it indicates that everything turns to Allah. Everything turns to Allah (Mighty and Majestic): the animal, the human, the jinn, the angels, and everyone. [Al-Ikhlas 112:2-4] The rest of the discussion on the surah will come in the next night, if Allah wills, and after the prayer, the answers to the questions, if Allah wills.
