The Virtue of Fasting Ramadan.
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We thank Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for having brought us to Ramadan, and we ask Him (Blessed and Exalted is He), who has brought us to its beginning, to bring us to its end. Welcome, how are you? And we ask Him to make us among those who fast it and stand in prayer during it with faith and seeking reward. Indeed, whoever fasts it with faith and seeking reward, Allah will forgive him what has passed of his sins, and whoever stands in prayer during it with faith and seeking reward, Allah will forgive him what has passed of his sins. O my Muslim brothers, on this night, the night of Thursday, the 15th of the month of Ramadan of the year 1420, we begin our sessions in the Sacred Mosque, and we ask Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to make them blessed sessions for us and for you, and to grant us beneficial knowledge, accepted righteous deeds, and a good, abundant provision by which we become self-sufficient from other than Allah, while not becoming self-sufficient from Allah.
