Return to the Noble Verse (And if your Lord had willed, all who are on earth would have believed, all of them together).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Let us return to the Noble Verse
And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed - all of them entirely. Then, [O Muhammad], would you compel the people in order that they become believers? ولو شاء ربك لآمن من في الأرض كلهم جميعا أفأنت تكره الناس حتى يكونوا مؤمنين
[Yunus 10:99]
Look at Allah’s words to the Messenger. “Is it for you?” This is a question that implies negation, meaning: do not force people to be believers. In whose hand are the hearts? In the hand of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). If Allah had willed, all people would have believed. But if it were assumed that all people believed, the wisdom would be that some would disbelieve and some would believe. The wisdom is that some would disbelieve and some would believe. I ask for your attention: some people think that the wisdom is for all people to believe, and this is not correct. The wisdom is that some believe and some disbelieve, and we will explain that, if Allah wills.
