Meaning: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hell

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then you seek refuge with Allah from four things, saying: I seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of Hell. The seeking of refuge, "I seek refuge," means: I hold fast to and I take refuge in Allah (Mighty and Majestic) from these four matters: from the punishment of Hell, from the punishment of the grave, from the trial of life and death, and from the trial of the Dajjal, the false messiah. Pay attention to these four: the punishment of Hell, meaning the punishment of the Fire. It is called by this name because it is dark, and may Allah protect us from it, full of darkness and blackness; it is entirely dark and gloomy. We ask Allah for safety.
(7) When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. (8) It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?" إذا ألقوا فيها سمعوا لها شهيقا وهي تفور تكاد تميز من الغيظ
[Al-Mulk 67:7-8]
. That is, it is on the verge of tearing itself apart from rage against its inhabitants. We seek refuge with Allah from it, from the punishment of Hell.
