What do we say after the imam in the qunut supplication if he mentions the attributes and names of Allah, and is it permissible to raise the hands in it, and what is the ruling on saying "Ameen" to the imam's supplication?

The questioner : He says:The questioner : What do we say after the imam in the qunut supplication if he mentions the attributes and names of Allah (Mighty and Majestic)? And he also asks: Are the hands raised in the qunut?

The Shaykh : Yes. As for the first part of the question, you say: "Subhan Allah" (Glory be to Allah), and there is no harm in saying: "Subhan Allah," because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to glorify Allah when he passed a verse of glorification. As for the second part, which is raising the hands, yes, you raise the hands in the qunut. But you do not wipe the face with them afterwards, because the hadiths regarding wiping the face are weak and do not constitute proof. As Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said. And although al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned in *Bulugh al-Maram* that their totality indicates that it is a good hadith, but as long as there is doubt in the matter, do not wipe the face with the hands after the supplication.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did it in the voluntary prayer in the night prayer. But there is no harm if you hear praise of Allah to say: "Subhan Allah." Yes, in the obligatory prayer, yes, in the obligatory prayer.
Saying "Ameen" is a recommended practice, my brothers. Saying "Ameen" to the supplication of the imam who is in qunut is a recommended practice, because the imam's supplication is for him and for those behind him. And if we did not say "Ameen" to his supplication, the supplication would not be for us. For this reason, Imam Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If one follows an imam who is in qunut in the Fajr prayer, he should follow him and say 'Ameen' to his supplication". As for raising the hand in the qunut for calamities, the Sunnah has come from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding this.
