What is the difference between seeking the help of disbelievers and loyalty to them, and does seeking their help constitute loyalty to them?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says:The questioner : What is the difference between seeking the help of disbelievers and loyalty to them? And does seeking their help count as loyalty to them?

The Shaykh : Yes, loyalty to disbelievers means supporting them, drawing near to them, and showing affection for them. This is not from a Muslim.
You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day having affection for those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred
[Al-Mujadila 58:22]
It is not necessary that a person who seeks their help is loyal to them. What is required is that one be loyal to them if, for example, he helps them against their enemy; this is undoubtedly loyalty to them and support for them. It is well known, and it is a great pity, that Muslims today need much of what disbelievers produce. They need much of what disbelievers make and seek their help in obtaining vessels and other items, which are the work of disbelievers. It is obligatory that we hate and detest disbelievers for the sake of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and not support them against others. There is a difference between this and that. Yes.
