Warning Against Division and Disagreement Among the Muslim Community
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It is obligatory that we do not divide, that we do not dispute, and that we be one community, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Ash-Shuraa 42:13], and due to the saying of Allah Blessed and Exalted is He: [Ali 'Imran 3:104-105]. Indeed, Allah commanded His Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) to disavow those who divided their religion and became sects, so He said: [Al-An'am 6:159], and He said: [Yusuf 12:108].
So Allah Glorified and Exalted is He informed in these two verses that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) calls to Allah with insight, he and those who follow him, and that those who divided their religion and became sects are not of him in any way, and their affair is with Allah, then He will inform them of what they used to do.
And if the matter is so, we see the Muslim community today; we see it divided and scattered, disputing and differing in words and deeds, except for whom Allah Mighty and Majestic has protected, namely the people of the Sunnah who adhered to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) outwardly and inwardly, and who saw that there is no path leading to Allah except what Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent with, so they adhered to it and followed the path of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein
شرع لكم من الدين ما وصى به نوحا والذي أوحينا إليك وما وصّينا به إبراهيم وموسى وعيسى أن أقيموا الدين ولا تتفرّقوا فيه(104) And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful. (105) And do not be like the ones who became divided and differed after the clear proofs had come to them. And those will have a great punishment.
Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do.
إن الذين فرّقوا دينهم وكانوا شيعا لست منهم في شيء إنما أمرهم إلى الله ثم ينبّئهم بما كانوا يفعلونSay, "This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me. And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others with Him."
قل هذه سبيلي أدعو إلى الله على بصيرة أنا ومن اتّبعني وسبحان الله وما أنا من المشركينSo Allah Glorified and Exalted is He informed in these two verses that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) calls to Allah with insight, he and those who follow him, and that those who divided their religion and became sects are not of him in any way, and their affair is with Allah, then He will inform them of what they used to do.
