Is it better to perform Hajj on behalf of a deceased person or to make du'a for them?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : O Shaykh, some people lose their father or mother.

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : Some people lose their father or their mother dies.

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : Their father passes away or their mother passes away.

The Shaykh : Yes

And you, O human being, are in need of good deeds. A day will come when you will wish that you had even one good deed in your scale. Yes, move forward, move forward. You are from... from the students? No, the students have no right except to wait until the guests are finished.

The questioner : A man died and it was found behind him...

The Shaykh : Be patient here, the first row...
