How does one pray if he joins the imam in the 'Isha' prayer while he has not yet prayed Maghrib?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you: O esteemed Shaykh, if a person is traveling and the time for the 'Isha' prayer arrives while he has not yet prayed Maghrib, and he wants to pray Maghrib with the congregation who are praying 'Isha' with the intention of Maghrib, what does he do in this case?

The Shaykh : If the imam stands for the fourth rak'ah and he has joined them in the first rak'ah, he sits, recites the tashahhud, and says the taslim. Then he catches up with the imam in the remainder of the 'Isha' prayer and completes it as four rak'ahs.

The questioner : If he catches up with one rak'ah?

The Shaykh : If he catches up with one rak'ah, that is possible, and it is the norm that he will catch up, because he recites the tashahhud and hastens through it, along with seeking refuge from the punishment of the Hellfire and the punishment of the grave. Then he joins the imam and catches up with the ruku'. However, if he does not catch up with the ruku', he has missed the reward.
