Benefits of the Verse: “That is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for the righteous”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
And among the benefits of these verses is the high rank of the Qur'an, as indicated by His saying:
That is the Bookذلك الكتاب
He referred to it with the reference of distance despite its nearness, for it is before our eyes. This is a reference to the highness of its rank, and it is, by Allah, the highest of ranks. The statement that the best of speech is the Book of Allah, as the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) used to announce it every Friday, saying on the pulpit:
The best of the speech is embodied in the Book of Allahإن خير الحديث كتاب الله
Sahih Muslim 867a
.
And among the benefits of these verses is that it is not permissible for anyone to doubt this Qur'an, and that the Qur'an is not a place for doubt. The first meaning is that it is not permissible for anyone to doubt this Qur'an, on the assumption that the negation here means prohibition.
And the second is that this Qur'an is not a place for doubt, on the assumption that "la" is a negation. We have explained to you in the tafsir that regarding His saying:
about which there is no doubtلا ريب فيه
[Al-Baqarah 2:2]
there are two opinions among the scholars. The first opinion is that the negation here means prohibition, and the meaning is: do not doubt in it.
And the second opinion is that the prohibition here is in its proper place, and the meaning is that there is no doubt in the Qur'an and no ambiguity in it; it is clear, O people. So among the benefits is the prohibition of doubting the Qur'an and the clarification that it is not a place for doubt.
And among the benefits of these verses is that the Qur'an is a guidance for the righteous, and this is clear in the verse:
A guidance for the righteousهدى للمتقين

And this benefit entails that if you see that Allah has granted you the understanding of His Book and the action upon it, then know that you are among whom? Among whom, O people? Among the righteous, because Allah said:
A guidance for the righteousهدى للمتقين
So if you see in yourself that Allah has granted you knowledge and action upon His Book, then rejoice, for you are among the righteous.
And branching from this is another benefit: if you see heedlessness and lack of benefit from the Qur'an, then beware, for this indicates a deficiency in your taqwa (mindfulness of Allah), because if your taqwa were complete, this Qur'an would be a guidance for you. And branching from this is also the exhortation to taqwa and that it is the cause of being guided by the Qur'an, and that the more you fear Allah, the more you increase in benefiting from the Qur'an and being guided by it.
