Continuation of the interpretation of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((Lightning almost snatches away their sight. Whenever it illuminates for them, they walk in it, and when darkness falls upon them, they stand still. And if Allah had willed, He would have taken away their hearing and their sight. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.))

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Without the occurrence of thunder and without the occurrence of lightning, for Allah the Exalted is over all things competent, so He is able to take away hearing and sight without causes. Thus, hearing is without thunder, because the sound of thunder is great and may deafen the ears, and the light of lightning is also great and may snatch away the eyes
if Allah had willed, He could have taken away their hearing and their sightلو شاء الله لذهب بسمعهم وأبصارهم
[Al-Baqarah 2:20]
without this happening
Indeed, Allah is over all things competentإن الله على كل شيء قدير
