In this noble verse: there is proof of the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Where did we take this from, O Khalid?
The student:.
The Shaykh : And in it is also proof that the speech of Allah is with a heard voice and arranged letters. Where is this taken from? From His saying: And if Adam had not heard it, there would have been no benefit in it.
And also: it is arranged because He said:[Al-Baqarah 2:35] This is an arrangement of the letters As-Sunan al-Kubra lil-Nasa'i 65:6 We only say this because some of the people of innovation say: that the speech of Allah the Exalted is not arranged, and that His saying the Exalted: came out all at once, meaning the sin, the ba, and the mim came out all at once, not arranged. And these are called the Muqtariniyyah, who say that the speech of Allah is connected, some of it with some, because they claim that if we said it is arranged and that some of it precedes some, it would necessitate that it is created. And as you know, the rule with them is that the created does not subsist except in a created thing. And we have explained repeatedly that this rule is invalid.
And from the benefits of this verse: the favor of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) upon Adam and Eve, where He settled them in Paradise from the first moment He created them.
And from the benefits of the noble verse: the prescription of marriage for the children of Adam, due to His saying:[Al-Baqarah 2:35] So this is the Sunnah of our father Adam. If someone says: Who is the daughter of his wife? We say: She was created from his rib; Allah created her from his rib. If someone says: If she is his daughter, how can he marry his daughter?
The answer is: that it is permissible for Allah the Exalted to decree what He wills. It is permissible for Allah to decree what He wills. Just as it was permissible for the brother to marry his sister from the first children of Adam, so it was permissible for Adam to marry the one Allah the Exalted created from his rib. And Allah the Exalted decrees what He wills.
And from the benefits of the noble verse: that the command comes for permissibility, due to His saying: So this is for permissibility, as proven by His saying: He chose for them that they eat from any place. And there is no doubt that the command comes for permissibility, but the original ruling is that it is for seeking, until evidence stands that it is for permissibility.
And from the benefits of the noble verse: that the apparent text indicates that the fruits of Paradise do not have a limited time, but they are present at all times. Where is this taken from? So the generalization in place necessitates the generalization in time. And Allah the Exalted said regarding the fruit of Paradise: [Al-Waqi'ah 56:32-33].
And from the benefits of the noble verse: that Allah the Exalted may test the servant by forbidding him from something to which his soul is attached, due to His saying: And the aspect of this is: that if the soul were not attached to it, there would be no need to forbid approaching it.
And from it: that one may be forbidden from approaching a thing, and the intended meaning is the act of the thing itself, for the sake of exaggeration in warning against it. For His saying the Exalted: the intended meaning is meaning do not eat from it. But since approaching it may lead to eating, He forbade approaching it.
And from the benefits of the noble verse: that it is necessary for a person to understand what Allah has made him understand. And the aspect of the indication is: that if Allah the Exalted had intended for us to believe in a specific tree, He would have specified it. So the etiquette with Allah is to leave ambiguous what He has left ambiguous and specify what He has specified.
And from the benefits of the noble verse: the establishment of causes. Where is this taken from? From His saying:[Al-Baqarah 2:35].
And from the benefits of the noble verse: that disobedience to Allah the Exalted is injustice, injustice to the self and aggression upon it, due to His saying:[Al-Baqarah 2:35].

وقلنا يا آدمThe Shaykh : And in it is also proof that the speech of Allah is with a heard voice and arranged letters. Where is this taken from? From His saying:

يا آدم اسكن أنت وزوجكO Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise
يا آدم اسكن أنت وزوجك الجنةIn the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
