The Shaykh : Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) said: As for the benefits mentioned earlier, [Al-Baqarah 2:35] the doer of the speech is Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and His saying: [Al-Baqarah 2:35] is a noun coordinated with the doer in and not with "you"? It is coordinated with the doer in because is an emphasis of the doer and is not the doer itself, because is a verb of command, and a verb cannot have an explicit doer because it is necessarily hidden. Accordingly, "you" is the separated pronoun, and this is an emphasis of the attached pronoun. And His saying: is Hawwa, as established in Sahih al-Bukhari and others. And His saying: the scholars differed. Yes, first, is the garden with many trees, and it was named so because it is hidden by its trees.
Is the Paradise intended the Paradise of Eternity? Or is it a Paradise other than the Paradise of Eternity? The apparent meaning of the Qur'an and the Sunnah is that it is the Paradise of Eternity, not a Paradise meaning a garden with many trees, pleasant water, sweet water, and pleasant air. No, but it is the Paradise of Eternity, because the article “al” here is for mental reference. And His saying:[Al-Baqarah 2:35] means from this Paradise means pleasant eating without any bitterness. means in any place of this Paradise, and we also say in any time, because is an absolute verb not restricted by time, so they eat from any place and at any time. So the tree, Allah referred to it and did not say “a tree such and such” or “such and such,” but He referred to it specifically. The article “al” in “the tree” is for present reference, because everything that comes with “al” after a demonstrative pronoun is for present reference, since a demonstrative pronoun means pointing to something near. Do we have an importance in specifying its type? No, for this reason Allah did not specify it in the Qur'an, nor did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) specify it in the Sunnah. [Al-Baqarah 2:35] And He did not say “lest you two be,” because it occurred as a response to a request, which is His saying: So the “fa” here is for causality, and the verb after it is in the accusative case by a hidden “an” after the “fa” of causality. It was said that the verb is in the accusative case by the “fa” itself. The first is the position of the Basrans, and the second is the position of the Kufans, and the second is the preferred position with us based on the rule that whenever scholars of grammar differ in the parsing of a word or sentence, we take the easier one as long as the meaning allows it.
[Al-Baqarah 2:35] And the wrongdoer is the transgressor, because the origin of injustice is deficiency. Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Kahf 18:33] Injustice occurs by one of two things: either negligence in an obligatory duty or exaggeration in it, or violation of a forbidden thing. The meaning here is the violation of the forbidden, meaning if you two do it, you are wrongdoers because you have disobeyed Allah.
And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will
