Benefits of the Verse: “Then We resurrected you after your death, so that you may be grateful”
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
It contains evidence of the power of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), as He gave them life after death, as He said: [Al-Baqarah 2:56].
It contains evidence that gratitude is obligatory upon the one to whom Allah has bestowed a blessing, as He said: It has been mentioned to us many times that gratitude is the performance of what? It is obedience to the Bestower, with affirmation by the heart, acknowledgment by the tongue, and action by the limbs. One acknowledges with his heart that it is from Allah, and does not say, “I was given this because of knowledge I possess.” Is that right? Likewise, he speaks of it with his tongue, not in boasting, but in acknowledgment. Likewise, he is in obedience to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) with his limbs. With these three limbs, gratitude is established. And the poet said:
The blessings have benefited me with three things: my hand, my tongue, and the hidden conscience.
Then We revived you after your death
