A man performed Hajj in a manner that is not prescribed, and he was ignorant, then he learned and performed Hajj a second time; does this count as his obligatory Hajj?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A person performed the obligatory rites of Hajj.

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : A person performed the obligatory rites of Hajj while being ignorant of all the rites, meaning he did not perform them completely. Then it became clear to him later that he was ignorant in performing these rites. After that, Allah granted him a second Hajj. Does he intend the first obligatory Hajj, or does he intend this one as a voluntary Hajj?

The Shaykh : He should intend this one as a voluntary Hajj; he should intend the second one as a voluntary Hajj. If it is determined that the first one was performed in a manner that Allah does not approve of and does not accept, then the second one becomes the obligatory Hajj. Yes. On this occasion, I would like to urge people, as we are now close to the time of Hajj, to urge people to learn the rulings of Hajj before they perform it. Because some people go with the pilgrims and are just followers; they say what people say and do what people do without knowing the meaning. Then when they return and ask, they find that they have neglected many things. In fact, some people, may Allah protect us from that, are found to have neglected their Hajj ten years ago, and then they come to ask. Or they neglected their Hajj in the past year, and then they come to ask after six or seven months. This is wrong. So the important thing is that you urge people to learn the rulings of Hajj before they perform it. Yes.
