Is backbiting, mocking, and the accumulation and counting of wealth among the major sins or not? And how is it possible for the word (al-dhi) to be a descriptor when it is a definite noun?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
May Allah reward you, Your Eminence the Shaykh, and increase you in success and knowledge. Is it understood from the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Woe to every scorner and mocker ويل لكلّ همزة لمزة
[Al-Humazah 104:1]
that backbiting, mocking, and the accumulation and counting of wealth are among the major sins, because of His saying:
Woe ويل
?
Also, in the verse, His saying
the one who الذي
is a definite noun, so how is it valid for it to be a descriptor for an indefinite noun, which is "kull" (every)?

The Shaykh : Yes. As for the first point, yes, we say that anyone who possesses these characteristics has committed a major sin among the major sins. This is because backbiting and mocking the believers are among the major sins. Have you not seen His saying:
(29) Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. (30) And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances. (31) And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting. إنّ الذين أجرموا كانوا من الذين آمنوا يضحكون * وإذا مرّوا بهم يتغامزون * وإذا انقلبوا إلى أهلهم انقلبوا فكهين
[Al-Mutaffifin 83:29-31]
They said, "Let these rough people, these dervishes, and the like pass by us."
As for the one who accumulated wealth and counted it, it became a definite noun because His saying:
to every scorner and mocker لكلّ همزة لمزة
[Al-Humazah 104:1]
is an indefinite noun, but it is a general indefinite noun in the form of "kull" (every). Therefore, it is permissible to describe it with "al-dhi" (the one who) considering its generality. Or it can be said that "al-dhi" is not a descriptor for "hamazah lamazah" (the backbiter and mocker), but rather it is the predicate for a deleted subject, and the implied meaning is: "He is the one who accumulated wealth and counted it." Yes.
