What is the ruling on one who says, "All of existence and what it contains is destined to perish, except for Your love, which remains with its banner raised"?

The questioner : May Allah guide you and us, esteemed Shaykh.
The Shaykh : Amen.
The questioner : In a song that was broadcast, its author says:
"All of existence and what it contains is destined to perish, *** except for Your love, which remains with its banner raised".
Or something similar. I do not know whether one should hold this belief or merely repeat it without believing it. Is it forbidden?
The Shaykh : It is not permissible to repeat it or to approve of it. Rather, it is obligatory for the one who said it to repent to Allah the Mighty and Majestic from it. If he repents, that is well; otherwise, the apparent meaning of his words is apostasy, may Allah protect us from it. This is because saying "All of existence other than You is perishing" means the opposite of what Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Qasas 28:88] Thus, this constitutes apostasy if its author persists in it despite being reminded and the truth being clarified to him.
As for repeating it, it is forbidden, and it is not permissible to place it before people so that they repeat it.
Furthermore, defending one's homeland is not always praiseworthy, nor is it always blameworthy; rather, it depends on obedience to Allah and His Messenger. If a person defends his homeland because it is an Islamic homeland, defending it for the sake of its Islam, then this is praiseworthy. But if he defends it merely because it is his homeland, then this is the tribalism of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance.
The Shaykh : Amen.
