The reciter: Abu al-Tahir and Harimah narrated to us, saying: Ibn Wahb informed us, saying: Yunus narrated to me from Ibn Shihab from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 523b.
The Shaykh : In my hand, before me? Yes.
The reader:Sahih al-Bukhari 2977.
The Shaykh : May Allah send prayers and peace upon him. Allahu Akbar. His statement: The Noble Qur'an, as is not hidden, contains concise words that are well known, and sometimes it contains elaboration. For example, you see in Surat al-Rahman and in Surat al-Mursalat there is elaboration, and in some surahs you see concise words. Even the stories of the nations are found to be brief, but they are a severe warning. Read: [Al-Qamar 54:1], you will find concise words but in them is a deterrent that shakes the soul. And read: [Az-Zumar 39:62], you will find concise words.
In this hadith, there is an addition to what came before, which is that he was brought the keys to the treasures of the earth. Yes.
I have been commissioned with words which are concise but comprehensive in meaning; I have been helped by terror (in the hearts of enemies): and while I was asleep I was brought the keys of the treasures of the earth which were placed in my hand.
بعثت بجوامع الكلم ونصرت بالرعب وبينا أنا نائم أتيت بمفاتيح خزائن الأرض فوضعت بين يديThe Shaykh : In my hand, before me? Yes.
The reader:
Abu Huraira added: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) has left the world and now you, people, are bringing out those treasures (i.e. the Prophet (ﷺ) did not benefit by them).
قال أبو هريرة فذهب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وأنتم تنتثلونهThe Shaykh : May Allah send prayers and peace upon him. Allahu Akbar. His statement:
I was sent with concise words.
