The reciter: Hārūn ibn Sa‘īd al-Aylī and Aḥmad ibn Isā narrated to us, saying: Ibn Wahb narrated to us, saying: Amr informed me that Bakīr narrated to him that ‘Āṣim ibn ‘Umar ibn Qatādah narrated to him that he heard ‘Ubayd Allāh al-Khawlanī mentioning:
that he heard Uthmān ibn ‘Affān, when the people were speaking about him regarding the construction of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) mosque, saying: “You have gone too far. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: ‘Whoever builds a mosque for Allah the Exalted—Bakīr said: I think he said: seeking thereby the Face of Allah—Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.’”
أنه سمع عثمان بن عفان عند قول الناس فيه حين بنى مسجد الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم : إنكم قد أكثرتم وإني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول : من بنى مسجدا لله تعالى قال بكير حسبت أنه قال يبتغي به وجه الله بنى الله له بيتا في الجنة
And Ibn Isā said in his narration:
a house in Paradise
مثله في الجنة
