Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Yahya ibn Yahya narrated to us, saying: I read to Malik from Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id al-Maqburi from Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman:
That he asked Aisha how the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray in Ramadan? She said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not exceed eleven rak'ahs in Ramadan or in any other month. He would pray four, so do not ask about their beauty and length. Then he would pray four, so do not ask about their beauty and length. Then he would pray three. Aisha said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you sleep before you pray the witr?" He said, "O Aisha, my eyes sleep, but my heart does not sleep."
