Explanation of the Book of Hajj-06b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Muhammad ibn Kathir narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from 'Abbas ibn Rabi'ah, from 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), that he came to the Black Stone and kissed it, and said:
No doubt, I know that you are a stone and can neither benefit anyone nor harm anyone. Had I not seen Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) kissing you I would not have kissed you. إني أعلم أنك حجر لا تضر ولا تنفع ولولا أني رأيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقبلك ما قبلتك
Sahih al-Bukhari 1597

The Shaykh : This is the hadith that is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
