The Shaykh : It remains for us to add some benefits. He says: This is regarding the prayer of the festival, where the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the women to go out, even the menstruating women and those in their seclusion. They asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family): What if one of us does not have a jilbab? The jilbab is the garment that covers the entire body. He said: Sahih al-Bukhari 351 This indicates that a woman does not go out without a jilbab, meaning she does not go out in a dir' (tunic), which is a shirt, or in anything that does not cover her entirely.
The Reciter: The chapter on the talbiyah from the Batha' and elsewhere for the resident of Makkah and for the pilgrim when he goes out to Mina. Ataa was asked about the one who resides in Makkah reciting the talbiyah for Hajj. He said: Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to recite the talbiyah on the Day of Tarwiyah when he prayed the midday prayer and settled on his mount.
So she said: Is there any harm on any of us if she does not have a jilbab that she does not go out? He said: Let her companion lend her from her jilbab.
فقالت هل على إحدانا بأس إن لم يكن لها جلباب ألّا تخرج قال لتلبسها صاحبتها من جلبابهاLet her share the veil of her companion.
