Benefits of the Hadith: (Let her borrow from her companion a jilbab, and let them witness the good and the invocation of the believers)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In this hadith, one may cite evidence that it is permissible for a woman to nurse a man, based on her statement: "We used to attend to the sick and treat the wounded", meaning those who were injured. It is said: Yes, there is no harm, but with the condition of dire necessity, if no male nurse is available. Then, yes, there is no harm in a woman nursing, but with the condition that fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) is averted. If fitnah cannot be averted, then nursing is forbidden.
We derive this from the general evidence in the Islamic Shari'ah that whatever is a cause of fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) is forbidden and prohibited. Accordingly, it is preferable that the nurse, if the need arises, be from the elderly women from whom fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) is not feared.
In this hadith, there is evidence that it is obligatory for a woman, when she goes out to the market, to have a jilbab. The jilbab is in the position of the abaya, and she must not go out in house clothes that reveal the size of the woman, her shoulders, her neck, her waist, and the like.
In it, there is also an encouragement of lending, especially in what serves as an aid to good, based on his saying:
Let her share the veil of her companion. لتلبسها صاحبتها من جلبابها
Sahih al-Bukhari 351
.
In it, there is also the benefit that the menstruating woman attends gatherings of dhikr (the remembrance of Allah) and places of worship, except that she does not remain in the mosque, based on his saying:
The menstruating woman stays away from the place of prayer يعتزل الحيض المصلى
. However, attending gatherings of dhikr, such as if that is in an institute or a school or the like, there is no harm in it. Yes.
