The reciter: And Amr al-Naqqad narrated to us, and Isa ibn Yunus narrated to us, and Hisham narrated to us from Hafsah bint Sirin from Umm Atiyyah, who said: Sahih Muslim 890c
The Shaykh : In this is evidence that gathering for good is a place where response is expected, due to her saying (may Allah be pleased with her):Sunan an-Nasa'i 390Sahih (Darussalam) And there is no doubt that whenever people gather for good, it is closer to being answered.
And in it is also: that it is not permissible for a woman to go out except with a jilbab, and the jilbab is like the abaya with us, so it is necessary that she have a jilbab that covers her. And what indicates this is: when she said that one of us may not have a jilbab, he did not say let her go out because this is the limit of her ability, but rather he saidSunan Ibn Majah 1307Sahih (Darussalam).
And in this is also evidence for the permissibility of lending clothes and the like, because she does not wear her sister's jilbab except by way of lending, and for this reason he said: let her wear it, and he did not say let her give it to her.
And there is no doubt that lending things like clothes, vessels, watches, and pens contains much good. For this reason, Allah (Mighty and Majestic) criticized those who withhold small necessities because they do not lend the thing from which benefit is derived and which causes no harm. However, if a person fears harm, there is no harm in refraining from lending, such as if some people, when they borrow, ruin the borrowed item. So there is no harm in refraining from them. Some people, if you lend them a book, find it marked up in the margins, footnotes, and between the lines, and then when you look at some of the notes, they are errors. So two sins are combined: the sin of tampering with another's property, and the sin of error. For this reason, it is not permissible for a person, when he borrows a book, to write on it, not even a word, except with the permission of its owner. As for correcting an error, it may be said to be permissible, and it may be said not to be permissible. As for the saying that it is permissible, it is because correcting an error has a benefit. As for the saying that it is not permissible, it is because some book owners do not like to have foreign writing in the book; rather, you find that if he finds an error, he erases it and the like.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded us to bring out on'Id-ul-Fitr and 'Id-ul-Adha young women, menstruating women and screened away ladies, menstruating women kept back from prayer, but participated in goodness and supplication of the Muslims. I said: Messenger of Allah, one of us does not have an outer garment (to cover her face and body). He said: Let her sister cover her with her outer garment.
The Shaykh : In this is evidence that gathering for good is a place where response is expected, due to her saying (may Allah be pleased with her):
