Explanation of the Book of Foods-01b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: 'Abdan narrated to us, 'Abdullah informed us, Shu'bah informed us from Ash'ath from his father from Masruq from 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) who said:
‘A'isha said that the Prophet liked to begin with the right as much as possible in all his affairs, in his purification, combing his hair, and putting on his sandals. (Bukhari and Muslim.) كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يحب التيمن ما استطاع في طهوره وتنعله وترجله
Mishkat al-Masabih 400
And he said: "By the right hand, before this, in all his affairs."

The Shaykh : Preferring the right hand in eating and other matters: How is preferring the right hand in eating? One eats with the right hand; this is the meaning of preferring the right hand in eating and other matters. One puts on clothing starting with the right hand. Now, if he has food in multiple vessels, does he start with the right one or with whichever he desires? With whichever he desires. Good, that is correct.
