Benefits of the Hadith: (… Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) loved to start with the right side in his purification, combing his hair, and putting on his sandals)

The Shaykh : All of this pertains to sandals. The first chapter provides evidence that one should begin with the right foot when putting on a sandal, as this falls under the general meaning of his saying: Indeed, it is explicit. The same applies to the leather sock (khuff), where one begins by putting on the right one. The scholars said that the same applies to clothing and trousers: one inserts the right hand into the garment, specifically the shirt, before the left, and the right leg into the trousers before the left.
