What is the authenticity of the Prophetic hadith: “Praying with a turban is better than forty prayers without a turban”?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : I am asking about the authenticity of a Prophetic hadith I heard from one of the brothers more than a year ago. I heard him say that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Praying with a turban is better than forty prayers without a turban صلاة بعمامة خير من أربعين صلاة بدون عمامة
Is this a hadith, O honorable Shaykh, or not? I hope for your guidance.

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Imam of the Pious, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment:
This hadith is invalid, fabricated, and falsely attributed to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). The turban, like other garments, follows the customs of people. If you are among people who are accustomed to wearing a turban, wear it. If you are among people who do not customarily wear a turban, but rather wear a ghutrah or leave their heads uncovered, do as they do.
The turban is not among the matters required by the Shari'ah, but it is among the matters that follow the customs of people. A person is commanded to wear what people wear, unless it is forbidden. This is because if he differs from people in their clothing, his clothing becomes a form of showing off, and showing off in clothing is prohibited. However, if he is in a foreign land, and the clothing of the people of that land differs from the clothing of this man who has come to them, then there is no harm in him keeping his home country's clothing, because people know that he is a stranger, and it is not strange for his clothing to differ from theirs. This is the case now with us, especially in Makkah and al-Madinah, where people wear their clothes in the style they had in their home countries, and no one objects to it.
In summary, we say: This hadith that the questioner referred to is invalid, fabricated, and falsely attributed to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
Second, we say: Wearing a turban is not a sunnah, but it is subject to the customs of the people among whom this man lives. If they wear turbans, he wears one; if they do not wear them, he does not wear one. I say: The sunnah is to conform to the people among whom one lives in their clothing, as long as it is not clothing prohibited by the Shari'ah, in which case it is obligatory for you and for them to avoid it.
Then I mentioned that if a person comes to a land where their clothing differs from the clothing of the people of his home country, and he is known to be a stranger, there is no blame on him for keeping the dress of his home country, because that is not considered showing off.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
