Benefits of the Hadith on Feeding the Servant

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : This also indicates that a person should eat with his servant out of humility for Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and to bring joy to his servant. He should not be too proud to do this. If he does not do so for some reason, he should give him a bite or two, or a mouthful or two. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) explained this by saying that the servant is the one who prepared it and worked on it, cooked it, and fixed it, if it was cooked. Similarly, regarding dates, he is the one who brought them and provided them. It is not befitting for one to keep eating this food that this man brought and leave him out. This also contains evident kindness toward the slave, and it is incumbent upon a person to be kind to him, not to say, "I am his master and I will not care about him." Yes, indeed.
