Explanation: ((Today I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and chosen for you Islam as your religion))

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then he said:
This day I have perfected for you your religion
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
Praise be to Allah. If the religion is complete, it is complete from the One of complete attributes, (Mighty and Majestic), the Wise, the All-Knowing, the Expert, the Subtle. He completed for you your religion, so there is no deficiency in it in any way, neither in acts of worship, nor in transactions, nor in morals and conduct. It is complete. And if you want to know the perfection of a thing, know the perfection of the One who established that thing, is that not so? If a machine like these recorders came to you, and the one making it is still learning, would you trust it? No, I would never trust it, and I know that there will inevitably be defects in it. But if it came from an experienced, expert engineer, you would know that it is at the highest level of what humans make. This religion is not from the establishment of some clever, skilled person, nor from the establishment of such-and-such or anyone else; it is from the establishment of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). He is the One who legislated it for His servants. For this reason, He said:
I have perfected for you your religion
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
And reflect on this: here the prepositional phrase was placed before the object, which by right should have been directly connected to the verb and the subject. He did not say, "I have perfected your religion for you," so that it would be known that there is a special care in this religion that returns to us today. "I have perfected for you your religion." He did not say, "I have perfected your religion for you."
and completed My favor upon you
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
Yes, by Allah, this is the completion of the blessing. The completion of the blessing is through the religion. By Allah, it is not in the abundance of wealth, children, wives, palaces, or vehicles. The completion of the blessing is entirely through the religion, which is the happiness of this world and the Hereafter.
Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do.
[An-Nahl 16:97]
This is the perfection of the blessing, and for this reason, the perfection of the blessing was paired with the completion of the religion: a complete religion and a perfect blessing. And here He said:
completed My favor upon you
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
How sweet is this addition: "My blessing." It is the blessing of Allah, from which no one is aware of who among the creation has bestowed it upon them. The blessing that befalls you is entirely from Allah (Mighty and Majestic). How delightful is this blessing whose source is from the Lord (Mighty and Majestic), not from anyone else. Regarding the religion, He said "your religion," and regarding the blessing, He said "My blessing." And there is a difference between these two: the religion is for us; we submit to Allah with it, and the blessing is upon us from Allah.
and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
O Allah, please be pleased with us for it, just as You were pleased with it for us.
and have approved for you Islam as religion
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
Islam is through the heart, the tongue, and the limbs. Through the heart, such that you do not submit your heart, nor humble it, nor bow down except to whom? Except to Allah, Mighty and Majestic. Do not submit to anyone; anything that is contrary to what came from Allah is nothing, so do not submit to it ever. Submit to Allah. Islam is through speech, by being sincere to Allah, the Exalted, verbally: you say, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger." With this testimony, you are pure for Allah, the Exalted; you do not worship anyone other than Him, and you purify your following by not following anything other than His Shari'ah. For this reason, the testimony that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah was made a single pillar of the pillars of Islam, because one of them is not complete without the other. There is no worship of Allah except by following what Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) brought. Now, Islam is through the limbs, such that you are humble to Allah, the Exalted, with your limbs: you stand and do not take a step if your Lord tells you to stand, and you move and do not stand as long as your Lord tells you to move. Thus, there is no shirk (associating partners with Allah) and no bid'ah (religious innovation), because shirk is the opposite of sincerity, and bid'ah is the opposite of following, and all of that is outside of Islam. Then he said:
and have approved for you Islam as religion
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
Praise be to Allah for the blessing that He has chosen Islam for us as a religion with which we worship Allah the Exalted, and by which Allah the Exalted will hold us accountable on the Day of Resurrection.
(17) And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? (18) Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? (19) It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing
[Al-Infitar 82:17-19]
And the Day of Resurrection is the Day of recompense, while we are in this world on the Day of action, and as you worship, so shall you be repaid.
