Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : We live forty kilometers from the Haram, and some workers provide us with the pigeons found in the area to eat. Some people say that this pigeon belongs to the Haram. Is eating this pigeon lawful or forbidden? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.

The Shaykh : Since you are forty kilometers away from the boundaries of the Haram, you are in a place where things are lawful, and hunting in a place where things are lawful is lawful. Therefore, what the workers provide you with from this pigeon is lawful, because it was not hunted in the Haram.
Yes, if the worker told you that he hunted it in the Haram, it would be forbidden for you and for the worker as well. To avoid doubt and dispel suspicion, you should inform the workers that it is not permissible to hunt within the boundaries of the Haram, so that they are fully aware of the matter.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
