What is the ruling on the one who says, “I slaughtered for the grave of so-and-so”?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : “If Allah heals my sick one, I will slaughter it at the grave of so-and-so”?

The Shaykh : This is not permissible if he specifies the location of the grave; this is not permissible. As for if he slaughters to honor the owner of the grave and to draw near to him, there is no doubt that this is major shirk (associating partners with Allah), and the slaughtered animal is not lawful. He must repent to Allah from this apostasy if he is a Muslim.
