What is the meaning of the saying of Allah the Exalted: "And fruit and fodder"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : What is the meaning of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And fruit and fodder وَفَاكِهَةً وَأَبّاً
What is the "ab" (fodder)?

The Shaykh : Some scholars say: "Ab" is everything that camels, cows, or sheep graze on, because Allah the Exalted said:
And fruit and fodder وَفَاكِهَةً وَأَبّاً
And what comes after that?

The questioner : A provision for you

The Shaykh :
A provision for you مَتَاعاً لَكُمْ
This fruit
And for your livestockوَلِأَنْعَامِكُمْ
This "ab" (fodder), and some of them specified it as "qat." Do you know "qat"? The well-known "qat" is called alfalfa, and the closer view is the general one, that it is general for everything that camels, sheep, or cows graze on.
