Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (rejoicing in what their Lord has given them)

Allah the Exalted said:
Delighting in what their Lord has given themفَاكِهِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ
[Surat al-Tur: 18] (rejoicing) The one who rejoices is the one who is pleased,As in the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.وَإِذَا انْقَلَبُوا إِلَى أَهْلِهِمُ انْقَلَبُوا فَكِهِينَ
[Surat al-Mutaffifin: 31] meaning: they are pleased.
(in what their Lord has given them) meaning: in the blessings their Lord has bestowed upon them.
and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire.وَوَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ
[Surat al-Tur: 18] Thus, they attained safety from evils by being protected from the Hellfire, and complete joy in the Gardens of Pleasure.
