The questioner : May Allah reward you with good. This questioner says: By the grace of Allah the Exalted and His praise, I memorize much from the Book of Allah, I strive to follow the Sunnah, I stand in night prayer, and I do other deeds, but I do not feel the fruit of that in my character and my dealings. The Shaykh : The reason is that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has given human beings different natures. One may be at peace in his worship and do much of it, yet have a bad character. Some people have a good character but are weak in their worship. However, I urge this brother, the questioner, to improve his character. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan Abi Dawud 4682Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani) So he should strive to improve his character, he should be patient, and he should have good manners by being disciplined by Allah. Allah the Exalted said: The meaning is: Take what is easy and forgiving from the characters of people and do not complain. Be patient with them, and if they are bad to you, be patient.
