What is the ruling on using contact lenses in the eye, which are medical lenses due to weakness in the eye, but which are sometimes used for adornment, as they

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The use of contact lenses in the eye has become widespread among women, especially university students. These are medical lenses for weak eyesight, but these lenses are sometimes used with colors, such as blue, green, or honey-colored, so that the natural color of the eye changes. It is known that some people use these colored lenses solely for adornment. The question is: Do the colored lenses constitute altering the creation of Allah or imitating the disbelieving women? We ask you for guidance.

The Shaykh : There is no alteration of the creation of Allah in these lenses, because this lens is removed and is not permanent like a tattoo. Rather, it is a specific type of eyeglass, and medicine has advanced to this state. However, two things are necessary:
It is necessary to consult a doctor to see if they can be placed in the eye or not.
The second matter: It is necessary that this lens does not make the woman’s eye resemble the eye of an animal, such as the lens resembling the eye of a rabbit or the like, because imitating an animal with a human is lowering oneself from the higher to the lower.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
