The reciter: Muhammad narrated to me, saying: Mukhalled informed us, saying: Ibn Jurayj informed us, saying: I heard Ata' say: I heard Ibn Abbas say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
If the son of Adam had money equal to a valley, then he will wish for another similar to it, for nothing can satisfy the eye of Adam's son except dust. And Allah forgives him who repents to Him. لو أن لابن آدم ملء واد مالاً لأحب أن له إليه مثله ولا يملأ عين ابن آدم إلا التراب ويتوب الله على من تاب
Sahih al-Bukhari 6437
Ibn Abbas said: I do not know if this is from the Qur'an or not. He said: And I heard Ibn al-Zubayr say that on the pulpit.
