The Shaykh : And of that is the saying of the jinn: [Al-Jinn 72:10] When they mentioned evil, they said "intended," even though it is Allah who intends it. And when they mentioned good, guidance, He said: [Al-Jinn 72:10] Of women: meaning wives. And sons: well known. And hoarded heaps: meaning thousands upon thousands of gold and silver. And branded horses: the trained ones upon which a mark is placed indicating their quality and speed. And cattle and crops: all these categories, Allah says about them [Ali 'Imran 3:14-15] From all of this [Ali 'Imran 3:15-17], I ask Allah to make me and you among them.

The Shaykh : This is the best, better than all of this, even though a person may attain this while also attaining what Allah has adorned for him in this world, as 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Allah, we are not able to do anything but rejoice in what You have adorned for us. O Allah, I ask You that I may spend it in its right place".
And we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course.
إنا لا ندري أشر أريد بمن في الارض أم أراد بهم ربهم رشداor whether their Lord
أم أراد بهم ربهم(14) Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return. (15) Say, "Shall I inform you of [something] better than that? For those who fear Allah will be gardens in the presence of their Lord beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and purified spouses and approval from Allah. And Allah is Seeing of [His] servants -
ذلك متاع الحياة الدنيا والله عنده حسن المآب ، قل أؤنبئكم بخير من ذلكم(15) Say, "Shall I inform you of [something] better than that? For those who fear Allah will be gardens in the presence of their Lord beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and purified spouses and approval from Allah. And Allah is Seeing of [His] servants - (16) Those who say, "Our Lord, indeed we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire," (17) The patient, the true, the obedient, those who spend [in the way of Allah], and those who seek forgiveness before dawn.
للذين اتقوا عند ربهم ، جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار ، خالدين فيها وأزواج مطهرة ورضوان من الله والله بصير بالعباد ، الذين يقولون ربنا إننا آمنا فاغفر لنا ذنوبنا وقنا عذاب النار ، الصابرين والصادقين والقانتين والمنفقين والمستغفرين بالأسحارThe reciter: Amen.
