Is it not fitting that the hadith’s context for the translation is that this man was among the poor Muslims and the Messenger of Allah mentioned his characteristics?

The questioner : May Allah reward you. Is there not a connection between the hadith and the translation in the man’s statement: “This man is among the poor Muslims,” then he mentioned two characteristics of the poor, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) affirmed his statement when he said he was among the poor Muslims?

The Shaykh : Yes, it is true that he is among the poor, but did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prefer him because of his poverty? It is possible that he preferred him for another reason, and that this poverty does not harm him. Is it not clear?
