For now, it goes and prostrates beneath the Throne, and it asks permission from Allah. If He permits it, it continues; otherwise, it is told, "Return from where you came." So it returns from the west, and the people see it rising from the west. When the people see it rising from the west, they will believe, because they know that there is no power to return it from its western point except Allah (Mighty and Majestic). At that time, they will believe, but will it benefit them? No. [Al-An'am 6:158] Even the disobedient Muslim, if he repents from his disobedience at that time, his repentance will not be accepted, because it is a repentance after the signs have descended, so it will not benefit him, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan Abi Dawud 2479Sahih (Al-Albani).

But that will be the time when 'No good it will do to a soul to believe then. If it believed not before.."'
