The questioner : Does the pilgrim who dies during Hajj have a special status?

The Shaykh : No, he does not have a special status. He will be gathered barefoot and naked, because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

for he would be raised on the Day of Resurrection pronouncing Talbiya

فإنه يبعث يوم القيامة وهو ملبياً

Sahih Muslim 1206j

and he did not say "in his garments."
