The Reciter: Chapter: Retaliation on the Day of Resurrection. It is al-Haqqah, because it contains the reward and the settling of affairs. Al-Haqqah and al-Haqqah are the same, as are al-Qari'ah, al-Ghashiyah, al-Saikhah, and al-Taghabun; the people of Paradise will be favored over the people of the Fire.
The Shaykh : These are names for the Day of Resurrection. First, the chapter on retaliation. Retaliation is taking one's right by way of equivalence, taking the right from another by way of equivalence. It occurs in blood, in wealth, and in honor. In fact, it occurs even among animals, the hornless; on the Day of Resurrection, the hornless sheep will be avenged against the horned sheep. So it is the Day of Retaliation, the Day of Justice, the Day of Resurrection, because people will rise from their graves to the Lord of the Worlds, the witnesses will rise, and justice will be established. As for al-Haqqah, we say that it is so because it contains the reward and the settling of affairs. Al-Haqqah means that things become true in it, and every falsehood disappears; in the Hereafter, there is nothing but the firm, true thing. There is no play or jest in it. It is also possible that al-Haqqah means that which becomes true for people, that it becomes true for people, meaning that it comes to them in a real manner, in a real manner without doubt or falsehood. Al-Qari'ah is that which strikes people, and al-Qari'ah is everything that befalls a person, of calamity. As for al-Ghashiyah, it is that which covers people, meaning it covers them, and the intended meaning is that it covers them in a state of panic. Al-Saikhah is that in which there is a great sound that strikes the ears and deafens the ears, the ears. Al-Taghabun is from ghun (loss), and it is the loss of the people of Paradise over the people of the Fire. The Day of Resurrection is the truth, the Day of Loss. As for this world, there is no loss in it. There is no loss in this world, except in two matters only, which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned: a person of knowledge who spreads his knowledge and calls people to it, and a person of wealth who spends it in the path of Allah. As for the lofty buildings, the luxurious vehicles, the beautiful women, and the intelligent and clever children, there is no loss in that, there is no loss at all. The loss is on the Day of Resurrection; the loss is what happens on the Day of Resurrection, where the people of Paradise are favored over the people of the Fire. Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) said: [Al-Isra 17:21] We now know the difference between a man of luxury and comfort, who has uncountable varieties of luxury, and another person who is being tormented; we know the difference between them, a great difference, but in the Hereafter it is greater and more magnificent, and the Hereafter has greater degrees and greater distinction. The people of the Chambers; do the people of Paradise see the people of the Chambers as they see the bright, shining star in the horizon? That is, high dwellings, like how you see the bright, shining star in the horizon, you see it as something great and elevated. They see the people of the Chambers in the same way. The people of Paradise, so these degrees are great. For this reason, they said, "O Messenger of Allah, those are the degrees of the prophets, which no one else can attain." He said: Sahih Muslim 2831b, meaning they attain this; it is not exclusive to the prophets.
