Wisdom is what the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) brought, by the saying of Allah, the Exalted: And He said in describing Him: [Al-Baqarah 2:129] So what the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) brought is wisdom, and whoever judges by it has a reward, as will be mentioned in the hadith. And His saying: [Al-Ma'idah 5:44] This verse was repeated three times in three ways:
The first:[Al-Ma'idah 5:44] It was mentioned after the mention that Allah sent down the Torah, by which the prophets who submitted judged those who followed Judaism, and the rabbis and the priests.
The second:[Al-Ma'idah 5:44] It was mentioned after the mention of retaliation and the obligation of equal retribution.
The third:[Al-Ma'idah 5:44] It was mentioned in the context of departing from what is obligatory, such as the revealed Book.
And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the disbelievers.
