Do we disapprove of one who prays the Sunnah of Fajr after the iqamah of the prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence, in the Fajr prayer, we sometimes enter and find some people performing the Sunnah after the imam has called for the prayer to begin. Do we disapprove of this?

The Shaykh : It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), in a hadith narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When the Iqamah has been called for the Salat then there is no Salat except the obligatory. إذا أقيمت الصلاة فلا صلاة إلا المكتوبة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 421Sahih (Darussalam)
. So these people who entered into the Sunnah after the prayer had been called for have no Sunnah; they have done something forbidden, and their Sunnah is invalid. We disapprove of them, but not in a way that we say, "This is a mistake, this is wrong." Rather, we take hold of his hand and say, "My brother, the obligatory prayer is better than the voluntary one." And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When the Iqamah has been called for the Salat then there is no Salat except the obligatory. إذا أقيمت الصلاة فلا صلاة إلا المكتوبة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 421Sahih (Darussalam)
. He will say to you, "This is the opinion of our scholars that the Sunnah of Fajr is necessary before the prayer, even if the prayer has been called for."
Say to him: Which is more appropriate, the opinion of your scholars or the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?
In fact, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said this regarding the very Sunnah of the Fajr prayer, disapproving of one who was performing the Sunnah while the imam was praying.
Then we say: If the prayer has been called for and you are in a voluntary prayer that you have entered, if you are in the first rak'ah, cut it off without the taslim and join the imam. And if you are in the second rak'ah and have already stood for the second, complete it briefly. Yes.
