What is the authenticity of the Qudsi hadith, "Majesty is My garment and greatness is My robe," and is it among the attributes?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
His EminenceThe Shaykh : It is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Majesty is My garment and greatness is My robe الكبرياء إزاري والعظمة ردائي
Is this hadith among the hadiths of the attributes, or is this hadith interpreted figuratively?

The Shaykh : Is his statement about Allah?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes, indeed. What is reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is an authentic hadith, and we take it by its apparent meaning. However, we do not inquire into its modality, just as with the other attributes. This is because it is obligatory for the Muslim to accept and believe in everything that is reported regarding the attributes of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), but without asking how an attribute is and without comparing Allah to creation. Do we believe that this garment and this robe are like our robes and garments? No, absolutely not. We are certain that it is not so, because Allah the Exalted says:
There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing. لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ
